Happy Hour food and prices were fantastic the waiter was awesome. Quaint place and will go back soon
Fantastic staff, beautiful decor, great location, tasty flatbread pizzas!
Great spot for amazing cocktails and really good food 👌 Our bartender/mixologist, Sadie, is super knowledgeable and really knows how to whip up some fun and tasty cocktails. We enjoyed the vibe and the decor was really cozy and timeless. We had the pork belly appetizer with goat cheese and it was as tasty as it looked. I also had the baked mac and cheese and it was really yummy. The pricing was very reasonable for what you get. We definitely enjoy this place and would come back when in the area.
I love it taken the wife there on many occasions listening and dancing to the music it's always fun
Really fun environment for a weekend evening. Live music and good food.
Very cool atmosphere! We stopped in for a glass of wine before dinner. We were a little disappointed by the lack of options as this isn’t actually a wine bar but were quickly enjoying a nice South American red thanks to the bartender. It was really interesting to watch the bartender craft cocktails with smoke, fire, etc.
Great drinks here! I'd definitely be back for the drinks! I'd recommend the charcuterie board. The steak tips appetizer and the flatbread I would not recommend.
We just happened into this place last night and had a fantastic time! There wasn't any place to sit, but we really wanted to listen to the music when they came back from their break. The guy at the door set us up at the bar. They have an amazing specialty drink menu and the music by Jimmie Hunter was the best!!! We danced, sang and really enjoyed the company of a wonderful couple sitting at the bar with us. Great place!!back from their break.
Great live music, beer and wine, friendly service. I was there on a Saturday night. Audience was 45+ on average, some older people as well. But all in all a good mix!
Nothing special. I'm sure they have better nights but seems like a place where regulars are familiar. Our waitress was very nice.
Always a great hang out spot. Love the live music and bands they bring in on the weekends.
Elmer T. Lee. Or fireball If y'all had that we'd be best friends forever. Otherwise love y'all and your whiskey selection!!
Bar atmosphere with an older crowd. Food was sub-par compared to the Kuykendahl location
If you go, get the cheddar poblano soup. It is the outstanding item on a menu full of excellent choices. Nothing bad here, but the soup... it is to die for.
Was amazing selection and the bartender was awesome. Really loved leprechauns magic a aged bourbon barrel that had the wonderful taste of mint & chocolate. The 1000 stories red wine hit the spot with the cheese and meat table.
Great creative, craft cocktail menu.
Jeremy Mitchell was absolutely phenomenal and superb. Really enjoyed his customer service and definitely plan to come back to just see him and his service.
Amazing! Mike, the manager, was extremely friendly and helpful. Our waitress also was very nice. We had the tenderloin flatbread and the burger. Both incredible. Happy hour was nice also. Awesome atmosphere. Would definitely recommend swinging by if you're in the area.
Pricey drinks but they are too cute and great. The bartenders are knowledgeable.
Good place to hang out with friends, awesome music!
Great atmosphere and huge beverage selection ! Took a ⭐ away for very limited parking.
Delicious appetizers and drinks with good service. Definitely recommend this place for some good food and drinks with friends. You may want to make a reservation as it can get busy, especially on concert nights.
The street tacos were fabulous! The onion rings were huge and delicious. The guys loved their burgers too.
Not too crowded for a Friday nite and Yelba provided great music and lots of dancing. And how could I not recognize the ecstasy of sipping on a Chocolate Whiskey.
Poor service, bread was cold, 48$ steak wasnt even up to room temp, redfish and noodles had no flavor, mac n cheese was good, did I say poor service ? Wasnt offered a dessert, wont go back..The AC vents had mold and moisture dripping down, place for sure needs some work.
Love the variety of flavored bourbons, especially "Texas Love". Live music was great too!
Beyond amazing. Not a single dish or drink we didn’t absolutely love! Sean took excellent care of my wife and I. Five stars, we Will be back!
Fun atmosphere. Food is very tasty. Great happy hour specials.
Absolutely love Refuge.I walk in and I don't even have to ask for my drink. It's waiting for me when I sit unless they are extremely busy. It helps that I'm a regular there. My Happy Hour Family. Yay!!
Good variety of drinks and good service. The food was a little bland in my opinion, I had the artichoke sprout dip and the smoked pork belly. It was good, just seemed to be lacking something.
Great bartenders. Suburban scene
Really fun place to hang out and have a drink
This place is well named as it is a Refuge from the surrounding techno disco venues. Good food, great friendly service, outstanding music and an opportunity to dance is what attracts my wife and I to go there often. It never disappoints and is extra enjoyable when Yelba and her band play there.
Googled: "Old Fashion" & this place came up. I wasn't disappointed. (I am a tyrant when it comes to how I like them). They have several variations that all sound great... I will try them next visit. The food was excellent. I had the charcuterie and the gumbo.I took away a star for not being able to show the Astros game but the live music was great! We were there 4/19 Friday night and the crowd was dancing and partying. Management was visible and checked on us, twice. Highly recommend.
I'll come back again and again! 3 pages of creative cocktails. The food is amazing. Must haves:Poblano cheddar soup. Pork Belly appetizer. I can't wait to eat my way through the entire menu.
Nice place with good collection of beer and cocktails
This was my first time here, and I am very mixed. This place was not very crowded, there might have been 20 or so people when we were there. First off, the ambience is great, very cool rustic still. Secondly their selection is absolutely incredible. The sheer quantity of high quality bourbon is amazing. Their drinks were really good. I had a couple different types of old fashioneds, and they were very well made. The ability for them to smoke your cocktail is cool, and I love doing this at home for that neat effect, still not sure it adds much to the drink, but it is fun. My one negative, but its a big one is how long it takes to get drinks. For us it was 10-15 minute minimum after you ordered anything. This might be ok on a packed night, but when it's relatively empty, not ok at all. Will probably go back and try it again. Hopefully they figure out how to move things along better.
I visited the bar and bistro multiple times, I enjoyed the atmosphere in general, especially the part behind the bar with these very comfortable sofas, very cozy! However the service is a little bit slow and the clients of all type of endeavor... I like the cocktails and sometimes the music groups playing music. I definitely enjoyed the appetizers. A good bar and safe choice for Thursday or Friday evening at Woodlands.
The ambiance was warm and comfy. Food was good, and service was good!
A very cool and different place to grab a bite and a drink. Bartender was great and nice to interact with. Gave a great recommendation after describing my tastes. Food was really good as well.
Great drinks! Loud music. Next time gotta come in there after having a couple. Overall this place has a very nice feel to it. Mostly grown crowd. But there are lots places around within walking distance.
Great place to bring friends, a little $$ if you're having cocktails but very nice.
Great food cool atmosphere very close to waterway.
It's awesome. Great atmosphere, staff is terrific. Food is amazing.
Jeremy Mitchell was AMAZING!!! I appreciated his recommendations & was EXCEPTIONAL in customer service. Thanks for everything Jeremy!
The food was delicious. We had the chicken artichoke flat bread since it was on sale for happy hour and the roasted poblano soup. The Caesar salad wasn't anything special but still good. Service was quick and drinks of course were delicious! The drink pictured is the waterway Rosemary.
Came on a Saturday evening around 8:30 and sincerely regretted it. Live music was all-encompassingly loud. I certainly understand the appeal of live music, but this was not the band to bring in crowds. My spouse and I were at a two-person table and were shouting at each other trying to communicate with minimal luck. Two stars because the cocktails are top notch and consistently so. I only wish the bar would prioritize conversations and keep live music to a lower volume.
Wait time 1 hour for premade frozen dessert. Paired with stale cold coffee. No ownership or professionalism on the part of the bar staff. Save your time and money and buy a store bought frozen cake instead.
Amazing and cozy place to come with friends or relative other. Make sure that you ask the bartenders for recommendations, they will always nail it!
